A Night to Remember: FWA-UK’s Philippine National Day Gala 2025

On Saturday, 7th June 2025, the Filipino Women’s Association UK (FWA-UK) proudly hosted its annual Philippine National Day Dinner & Dance Gala at the elegant Palace Suite of the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London. With over 300 guests in attendance, the evening was a vibrant celebration of heritage, unity, and giving back.

This year’s theme, “Reopening Opportunities for Students with Disabilities,” shone a spotlight on one of our most important missions: to provide educational access and support to those too often left behind. The theme resonated powerfully throughout the night, reminding us of the transformative impact of compassion and community.

The evening began with a warm welcome and a short prayer led by founding member and current adviser Nenita Garrad, setting the tone for a night of celebration with purpose. Guests were then treated to door prizes, generously donated by supporters and businesses in the Filipino community—setting off smiles and cheers early on.

A three-course dinner followed, accompanied by soft musical entertainment and camaraderie among friends, families, and new acquaintances. The room came alive once more with the Best Dressed Awards, judged by our distinguished Platinum and Silver Sponsors, who had the difficult task of selecting just two standout guests in a sea of elegance.
