The FWA-UK ladies hosts a despedida dinner for Consul Myla Macahilig at the Yumenoki Japanese Restaurant in London on 3rd April 2018. Goodbyes are the saddest part, but it also signals a new start.
The gathering was very cosy, informal and topics of discussion varied from the continued collaboration between the FWA-UK and the Philippine Embassy, exact date of Consul Myla’s departure to the Philippines and when she was likely to be back to London, successful Filipinos working and residing in the UK, and some depressing news about the Pinoys living in the UK.
The ladies through Jeannette Thomson, FWA-UK Chairman expressed their thanks to Consul Myla for all the support and assistance she extended to the FWA-UK.
Consul Myla was also presented small tokens of appreciation including the coffee book table called Unseen London, (probably the heaviest book ever!) bouquet of flowers, FWA-UK souvenir mug, pens and shopping bag. Good luck Consul and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
