The FWA-UK will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, 18th September 2022 at 12:00 PM in The Theatre at St. Mary Abbot’s Centre Kensington.
The AGM is a yearly gathering of members of the Association and its Executive Board. The regular business of the AGM is:
- To receive the Association’s annual report;
- To receive and approve the annual audited accounts;
- To consider for approval any proposed amendments to the provisions of the constitution;
- To consider any other urgent business of which due notice has been given;
- To elect members who will replace the members of the Executive Board who have completed their 2-year term of office.
The event is open to any FWA UK member who has a valid membership.
During the AGM, there will be an opportunity to meet and greet members before the start of the meeting. The Chairman of the Executive Board will report on its activities and achievements during the recently completed business year, the challenges it faces, and how they were resolved. The Treasurer will also report on the financial status of the Association for the recently completed financial year.
This will also be an opportunity for the members to raise questions or to express their concerns over the performance of the Executive Board. Equally, this will also be an opportunity to express their gratitude or praise for good achievements.
Elections will follow after the reporting of the Chairman and Treasurer, and after members comment on the performance of the Board. Before voting, there will be an opportunity for nominees to introduce themselves and for the nominators to express their reasons for nominating them. There will be an opportunity for the members to raise any question or address the nominator and nominees. The election results will be announced on the same day at the event, as well as the FWA-UK website and Facebook page.
You can contact the association via email on [email protected] if you have any questions.
We hope to see you at this year’s AGM!
