Location: Folkestone, Sunny Sands Beach, and Ashford Outlet
The sun-kissed coastline of Folkestone sprang to life recently as a group of enthusiastic FWA members and friends embarked on a memorable day trip organised by the dedicated Membership Committee. The event was a splendid blend of beachfront leisure, culinary delights, and irresistible shopping experiences.
A Coastal Stroll to Remember
The participants were treated to invigorating walks along the beautiful stretches of Sunny Sands Beach. The sound of the waves and the gentle caress of the sea breeze set the perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation and enjoyment. Many couldn’t resist capturing the stunning scenery, striking poses, and snapping photographs to forever remember their time by the sea.
Culinary Adventures and Seaside Delights
The event unfolded as a gastronomic exploration of Folkestone’s coastal treasures. The participants had the chance to indulge in an array of souvenirs and seafood delicacies offered by local vendors. While some opted for picnics with their favourite Filipino delights, others savoured the classic fish and chips – a true taste of the seaside.
Retail Therapy at Ashford Outlet
The excitement continued as the group visited the Ashford Designer Outlet, a shopper’s haven known for its incredible discounts and variety. Shopaholics were in their element as they explored various stores and found remarkable deals on their favourite brands.
A Feast for the Senses
The Membership Committee didn’t spare any effort in pampering the participants. An exquisite assortment of culinary delights awaited them, including traditional Filipino treats like puto and empanada, along with mouth-watering modern delights such as red velvet cake, brownies, and oatmeal cookies. The table was adorned with an array of sweets, fresh apples, and refreshing drinks, creating a true feast for the senses.
Success Bred by Demand
The event’s success was evident in the enthusiastic response from the participants. Their overwhelming appreciation was demonstrated by the calls for more such outings. Many members clamoured for the organisation to make this a regular affair – a monthly day trip or even an overnight stay. This resounding demand serves as a testament to the event’s triumph and the immense enjoyment it brought to all.
As the sun set on the beautiful coastline of Folkestone, it left behind a trail of cherished memories, content smiles, and the promise of more exciting adventures to come. The Membership Committee’s dedication and meticulous planning ensured that this day by the coast will remain etched in the hearts of all who participated.
