Chairman Visits Scholars at Vicente R. Bumanlag Sr. National High School

On a heartwarming visit to Vicente R. Bumanlag Sr. National High School in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, our Chairman, Velly Cattermole, brought joy and inspiration to our scholars. The event on 8th December 2024 was a testament to the commitment of the Filipino Women’s Association UK (FWA-UK) in supporting education and empowering young minds.

The visit commenced with a warm welcome from the school faculty, students, and our dedicated volunteers. A banner proudly displayed our Chairman’s name alongside the FWA-UK logo, setting the tone for a meaningful engagement. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as scholars eagerly gathered to listen to words of encouragement and wisdom from our Chairman.

During the visit, Chairman Velly Cattermole delivered an inspiring speech, emphasising the importance of education in shaping a brighter future. She encouraged the students to stay focused on their studies, dream big, and work hard to achieve their goals. Her message resonated deeply with the scholars, who expressed their gratitude for the continuous support provided by FWA-UK.

The school principal, Mr. Jaime C. Santos, also delivered a message, expressing his appreciation for the support provided by FWA-UK. He highlighted the positive impact of such initiatives on the students’ motivation and academic performance. Mr. Santos encouraged the scholars to make the most of the opportunities given to them and to strive for excellence in their studies.

A highlight of the event was the distribution of gift packs to the scholars. These packs, filled with essential goods and treats, symbolised the association’s unwavering support for the students’ well-being. The smiles on the faces of the students were priceless as they received their gifts, a testament to the impact of such initiatives.

The visit also included a delightful meal shared among the students, faculty, and volunteers. The camaraderie and warmth experienced during this gathering reinforced the sense of community that FWA-UK aims to cultivate among the scholars.
