On Saturday, 26th October 2024, the FWA-UK Outreach Committee organised a special afternoon outing at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. The event brought together members, friends, and families for a delightful cinematic experience: the Friendship Matinee of Ghostbusters in Concert. The sold-out event offered attendees a unique chance to relive the 1984 classic Ghostbusters, featuring a screening enhanced by live orchestral accompaniment.
Set in the breath taking Royal Albert Hall, this Friendship Matinee provided a powerful sensory experience, as the soundtrack was performed live by a world-class orchestra. Attendees, spanning different generations, were immersed in the film’s humour, nostalgia, and thrilling ghostly encounters, making for a captivating afternoon. The event is part of the Royal Albert Hall’s ongoing mission to make the arts accessible to all, offering reduced ticket prices to foster inclusivity and community engagement.
