Our charity organisation is seeking to have a Volunteer Project Manager for 3 – 5 hours per week. The Project Manager will be in charge of assisting our Outreach Committee Chairman in organising our ‘A Helping Hand to the Elderly and the Vulnerable in Newham, London.’ Initiative.
This initiative involves five different projects:
- Computer Skills Workshops for the Digitally Excluded Elderly
- Support the Elderly Programme: Combat Loneliness through Social Meetings I: Cinema Day Out
- Support the Elderly Programme: Combat Loneliness through Social Meetings II: Walking Tour
- Support the Elderly Programme: Combat Loneliness through Social Meetings III: Afternoon Tea
- Support the Elderly Programme: Combat Loneliness through Social Meetings IV: Friendship Matinee
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Monitoring project plans, schedules, and work hours
- Liaising with the IT Trainers
- Documenting budgets and expenditures within FWA procedures
- Reporting on project progress and updates on a regular basis
- Organising and participating in meetings
- Ensuring that project deadlines are met
The Project Timetable:
Starts: 14 March 2022
Ends: 10 March 2023
Time commitment: 3 – 5 hours per week
In order to be considered for the role, you will need to have the following:
- Experience in managing projects
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience using PC/smart phones for a variety of tasks including the ability to work on spreadsheets and presentation slides
- Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
- Commitment to dedicate the time necessary to ensure the project’s success
