The Filipino Women’s Association UK (FWA-UK) continues to offer free IT training to seniors every Saturday at the Stratford Library as part of their outreach project, “A Helping Hand to the Elderly and the Vulnerable in Newham, London” funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The goal of this programme is to help seniors become more comfortable and proficient with technology, which can greatly benefit them in today’s digital age.
The training schedule includes a variety of topics, such as basic computer skills, internet safety, and social media. Each session is led by an experienced instructor and is designed to be interactive and hands-on, allowing participants to practice and apply what they have learned.
The schedule for the upcoming training sessions can be found on:
The training sessions are open to seniors and are held in the Hopkins Room at the Stratford Library from 10:00 am to 01:00pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own devices, but computers will also be provided during lessons for those who need them.
FWA-UK is committed to helping seniors stay connected and engaged with the digital world. By offering free IT training, the Association hopes to empower seniors to take advantage of the many benefits technology has to offer, such as staying in touch with loved ones, accessing information, and engaging in online activities.
It is a great opportunity for seniors to learn and improve their skills in IT, which will help them stay connected with the world and help them keep up with the latest technology. The training is open to all seniors and is a great way to learn new skills and have fun at the same time.
To register for the training sessions, please email [email protected] or text 07508 747903 and include your name and date you wish to attend.
