Philippines Typhoon Appeal

We must have all heard the news and seen videos and images in the media about the devastation and havoc brought about by the recent typhoons in the Philippines: Saudel / Pepito (18 – 26 Oct), Molave / Quinta (23 – 29 Oct), Goni / Rolly (26 Oct – 6 Nov), and Vamco / Ulysses (8 – 15 Nov).

As typhoon season hits the Philippines we are once again, witnessing many displaced Filipinos facing the loss of their homes, possessions, livelihood and loved ones due to the torrential rain and devastating floods.

We at the FWA-UK would like to do our part in collaborating with government and non-governmental organizations in the Philippines by sending financial aid to help and support our countrymen who have been greatly affected by these calamities. We are therefore requesting a monetary donation, so that we can help those people who desperately need it and help alleviate their sufferings.

FWA-UK is a registered charity founded in 1988. Its main objective is to advance the education of underprivileged children in the Philippines through its scholarship program. Our charitable activities in the UK focus on supporting vulnerable women and the elderly. Our website www.fwa-uk.com holds information on the proud history and activities of the Association.

With the unprecedented impact of COVID-19, many of our events and projects have either been postponed or cancelled. We therefore depend on your generosity to achieve our goal in this fundraising activity.
