We have received yet another heartwarming letter from our of our scholars, Michael Melencion.
Hi Trustees,
Hope all is well!!
I was 14 years OLD when I first step to High School here in the Philippines, Particularly in Mindanao where I grew up and learn aside from WAR. My father Died before I graduated grade 6, my mother felt sorry for me because she believed she can’t send me to school. But God never permitted that to happen, here comes FWA-UK was sent from HEAVEN above. They offered me a four (4) year high school scholarship.
During my High School days, I have learned that life should be VALUED and life would be inevitable if we believe that in our Journey God is within US. ON my 4th year I was elected as Vice President of the STUDENT BODY ORGANIZATION in our School (REGIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL-sister school of PHILIPPINE SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL). It was a challenge for me to show our younger students how to inculcate good values and leadership to them.
Then I graduated with flying colors. I took Bachelor of Science in Nursing sponsored by one of our City Congressmen, but unluckily I wasn’t able to finish it but I am now a 3rd year college student of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at National College of Business and Arts, Quezon City. Studying while working as Billing Analyst with GXS Philippines Inc. I also worked as a Jollibee crew, and Call Center Agent of PLDT Philippines. Now I am proud to say that I am successful because I found happiness with what I have today. I hope that FWA-UK will continue extending their HELP to fortunate children here in our country. I always pray that in the coming years this country would have a ZERO or outstanding uncivilized and children being fortunate of EDUCATION.
I would like to extend my warm regards to Ms. Edna Kim for keeping me to her Hearts, for giving us to much attention to our studies. Without her!, life that I have now won’t be possible. Ms. Kim I still remember those days you visited us here in the Golden City of Mindanao ( Cagayan de Oro City ). I felt so much joy in that day, together with me was mom and my younger brother. I wish and hope to see you personally again, the boy that you saw before is already a BIG Man now, striving to ACHIEVE his goals and catches his DREAMS. Ms. Kim I know saying thank you is not enough. But I don’t have any here but GOD to pray and GIVE you good health and the best LIFE.
To all the trustees of FWA-UK, I am happy and so Glad that you inculcated to my mind to help others and be aware of my future. Thank you PO sa inyong lahat sa PAGMAMAHAL na BINIGAY ninyo sa aming mga KAPWA ninyong PILIPINO (Thank you for all the love that you have extended to your fellow Filipinos).
To all who built and contributed their blessings. Thank you so much and GOD will pay all the blessings you extended to our YOUNG DREAMERS here in the PHILIPPINES and there abroad.
