The FWA-UK Fundraising Committee has raised the sum of £2,800.25 to help our countrymen whose lives has been devastated, brought by the typhoons Rolly and Ulysses which hit our country last month.
The Executive Trustees has decided to give financial help to 4 recipient groups in the areas which had suffered the most damage to properties.
Each of the following group has received the amount of £700.00.
1. San Miguel and San Rafael Area group, Bulacan
2. Camarines Sur/Cagayan Valley Appeal
3. Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosari Inc., Metro Manila
4. San Ildefonso, Calumpit and Malolos City Area group
Our treasurer Pat Shah and Vice Chair (External Affairs) Arlene Morley had taken the necessary course of action to release the funds for distribution.
