Award winning Juan Eu Konek acknowledges FWA-UK on ABS-CBN news
FWA-UK members attended the film showing of the award-winning Juan EU Konek documentary “KONTRA CORONA” produced by JuanKonek Ltd presented by Rose Eclarinal (of ABS-CBN Europe), Crystal Dias and Gene Alcantara at the School of Oriental and African Studies University of London on 6th November 2021. His Excellency Ambassador Antonio Lagdameo and Director of SOAS Professor Habib were also in attendance.
Madam Chair Dulia Prado received a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the FWA-UK as Filipino Community partner of Juan Eu Konek, given by Professor Habib.
ABS-CBN, the largest media company in the Philippines, noted: “Juan Eu Konek tapped various communities in the UK to find some of the most compelling stories of Filipino frontliners. Similarly, during the film showing, various groups, particularly Caviteños UK and Filipino Women’s Association or FWA UK were key volunteers. “
