Message from Vic Capaycapay, FWA-UK Scholar

FWA-UK Scholar John Vic O. Capaycapay

Dear FWA,

To begin, I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to be one of your scholars during the past years. You are one of the reasons why I keep working towards my goals and improving for the better. Even if this is the last letter I will send to you, I want you to know that I appreciate all what you’ve done for me.

Since the beginning, you have never failed to look out for me. Unfortunately, this pandemic is having a tremendous impact on all of us, not only physically but also emotionally. Some people are struggling and trying to figure out how to survive their situation. Even students like myself are having trouble figuring out how to study while this is going on. Many of them have said that they were unable to study under online classes which is the “new normal” and that continuing their education would be a complete and utter waste of both their time and money. But in my opinion, it is not a waste of time when you put in a lot of effort to do what you have to.

To my great relief, FWA was still able to assist me to the Senior High School program at the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP). Now that I’m in the last year of Senior High School and about to graduate, We will have Face-to-Face graduation on August 2, 2022.  I have hoped to attend the University of the Philippines (UP) for college, but I was not accepted there. Thankfully, I passed the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).

When I become a college student, I want to keep doing what I’ve been doing and work towards becoming what I ultimately want to be. I am well aware that overcoming this obstacle will not be easy; nonetheless, I believe that it will make me a stronger person in the long run.

Thank you very much, in particular to my sponsor who is always eager to assist me with whatever it is that I need, and most of all to Ms. Clarita for always being there to oversee the students and even traveling back and forth simply to meet with us. I would want to express my gratitude once again to FWA for all that you have done for me. I will always treasure this and will never forget about you all.

Again Thank you very much. God bless u all my FWA Family.

Respectfully yours,

John Vic O. Capaycapay
